I've Made Friday Week 25

I hope you are all having a good week!
I hope Friday is just as good!

I know I showed you some of the hats the other
day but here they are again if you hadn't seen them.
The hats I've made this week:
(patterns for purchase are linked to each picture)

Ladybird

Frog Hat Newborn                                      Frog Hat 3-6mnths
 Frog Hat 6-12 months

                           Meerkat Hat                                                       Bear Hat
Mouse Hat

Then there are the hats I've finished for me:

This is my folded hat.
It was based slightly on the pattern I bought the other week
and didn't work for me.
It's difficult to see in this light but it has a folded part at the front.
I'm planning on finding a beautiful pin or button to go on the side
or maybe a flower.
If I decide I like it I might make it in another colour as well
so you can see the design better.

This is an eyelit cloche
that I bought the pattern of from etsy.
The pattern also includes a flower & a brim if you want it as well

And this is the Julia cloche hat
that I have finished :-)
I bought the pattern at Ravelry
I altered the pattern slightly as I wanted a removable brim

                        Without                                               With

I'm also thinking of making a white flower that I can attach if I want but I haven't decided yet.
By the way all the hats are in black as I am wearing a black and white dress.

This is a last minute add and I'm afraid the pictures aren't brilliant.
I just couldn't wait to show you.

My chicken hat.
Little Red already wanted it before I'd even finished it.

 :-)

This is a quick update with better pictures

This week I read:
Kindle:
Book:

I've got a bit of a mixed review for this one.
The author is a good writer
& I am sure that a different story would be a better read.
The basics of the story is it's about
a thirteen yr old boy called Aaron.
His life has changed for the worse since his dad died.
He overhears a bank robbing gang
and from there things take a turn for the worse.
Some people love the book
but I just couldn't accept the story as it just got
more and more far-fetched!
The worse it got the angrier I got with the story.
I carried on reading as the writing is good
& I hate not finishing a book.
In some ways I wish I hadn't.
The ending was so sickly sweet & unbelievable!
Sorry but this isn't one for me.
I give this book 2 out of 5
Now it's your turn
It doesn't have to be crocheting
anything you've made is more than welcome!

I've made Friday Week 21

Morning Everyone!
The sun has got his hat on today
:-)

Well it's now time to reveal what I made
one of my white hats into:..............

A Sheep

As you can see my little man really likes this hat

I also made my new Cow Hat this week as well :-)

I also made another angel blanket
from Melissa's design
for the charity she is supporting with the pattern

I finished Deathly Hallows for the 2nd time this week.
It was amazing the difference.
Knowing what is going to happen
doesn't make it drag at all and I actually found
it better and easier to read than the first time.
If you haven't read the Harry Potter books because of all the hype
then ignore it and please please read them!
The deathly hallows seemed the first time around to drag.
I got frustrated waiting for something to happen.
The 2nd time around I could see the reasons behind what was happening.
I think the Harry Potter books are ones that
you can read again and again.
I think each time you read it you pay attention to
different little things.
Book:

Kindle:

Now it's your turn
It doesn't have to be crocheting
anything you've made is ok

What You Doing Wednesday Week 20

Good morning everyone.
I hope your week is going well so far!

Benji still has his cough
but is more himself.

Little Red's caterpillars are coming along

Each morning Little Red gets up & checks out the size of his caterpillars.
They are growing super fast!

We bought him the pack for his birthday.
You get a net holder for when they have hatched into butterflies
and a form to send off for your caterpillars
to be sent to you.
Your caterpillars come in the post
in the above container.
The container holds all the food the 4 or 5
caterpillars will need.
Once they are in their chrysalis you
move them into the net cage.
Once they have hatched you keep the butterflies for 2 days
& then you let them free.

It is a fantastic learning experience for kids!

I finished Deathly Hallows
so my review will be there on Friday.
I am now reading
Ordained by Devon Ashley
Kindle:

Book:

So far this book has a fantatic start.
I'm 14% in and this has such a different twist
on the vampire theme!
I'll tell you more about it when I have finished reading it :-)

I'm not quite up to my normal standard
but I have got some WIPs this week

I still have my 3 hats not finished but
I have made all of the parts for one of them:
I'm not going to tell you what it is,
you'll have to wait for the reveal on Friday
:-)

I am also making another
Angel Bear Blanket.
My fantastic friend Melissa
from Lazy Daisy Crochet
she has designed these for a fantastic
charity & I'll be sending my bears their way.
