I've Made Friday Week 47

I hope your week has gone well
& you have a fantastic weekend ahead of you.

Little Red's nose is a bit better and touch wood
he didn't seem to have a nose bleed yesterday.
He did however lose one of this teeth.

Sorry about the quality of the pictures but he wouldn't stop
moving because he was so excited.
We don't have the tooth fairy in our house.
The first time we tried it he cried his eyes out because he didn't want
her to take his tooth away.
The next time we gave him the choice, you keep your tooth
and get nothing or you give your tooth
to the tooth fairy and get some money.
Little Red chose the tooth.
I think it costs us less ;-)

I've had a bit of an exciting week.
I joined Peerindex
and was able to get some perks.
I think the idea behind it is you tweet, post etc
about the item and in return you get
vouchers or free products.
The first one I joined was about a charity.
You get a £50 voucher to spend at FitFlop
if you spread the word about the
CARE International charity walk:

From 4 - 10 March, the charity  is asking people to walk 10,000 steps a day in solidarity with girls like Ayanna.

It's to highlight the long distances children and adults have to walk
just to try and get some clean water.

I would love to do a charity walk to support this but
with my CFS that is impossible.
I'm lucky if I can walk up a flight of stairs never mind 10,000 steps.

Here are the shoes I bought with my voucher:

They are just sooo comfy and they are real wool felt!
It was free delivery as well so it couldn't have been
more perfect!

The next perk was for 100 free minicards from Moo.
The process was easy to follow.
It was easy to design and set-up your cards.
Not only that the delivery was free and they were here within a couple of days.
I am really pleased with mine and would highly recommend them!

The cards are very cute!
A coloured design is also included on the back (for free)
and there is no advertising on the card at all!

I was asked some questions about the steam cleaner I purchased.
I bought the Wolf Steam Cleaner
When you are using the small upholstery cloths
I did find it did drip once the cloth had gotten wet.
It didn't drip as much with the window cleaning attachment
and the handle and attachment is angled so it doesn't drip onto you anyway.
I also used:
cleaning cloths so that it wiped any excess water off and made the windows gleam.
The handy thing with the wolf steamer is that
you can add or remove the handle.  If you are trying to clean
something higher up you just add the handle and it makes it easier.

As you can see from the picture above you can
add the handle and the mop fitting
and then it's a steam mop for the floors.
You can add the cloths above to the mop
and it will clean up spills as well.

It does drip a bit when you are using the handheld
and at times I did find it a bit awkward.
The big thing for me is it doesn't take a lot of effort to clean something
and I know the germs are being killed at the same time.
Hubby maybe trying it out on the bathroom this weekend.
I'm not up to doing anymore at the moment (another chest infection).
But when I'm up to it I'll let you know the results.

If you want to see the video about this product
just go to the ebay page

Now onto my makes this week:
and here is my finished cardigan:
I loved making it!
The course was fantastic!
It was easy to watch, stop, rewind, and follow when you wanted to.
I could even follow one part of a lesson, pause it
and come back and carry on a couple of days later.
I love the way Linda teaches and her
hints that she gives all the way through are fantastic.
I've already signed up to her other course:
and can't wait to start!

I finally finished my Newborn baby boy overalls
I bought the pattern from Cathy Ren
It's a really easy pattern to follow
and I really like the fact that they button up at the bottom
for diaper changing.
It was a really easy pattern to follow and
you can make the design look so much different
with all her ideas within the pattern:

The pattern covers sizes from 0 months up to 24 months

The other thing I made this week was
newborn leg warmers
I loved making these.
They were so quick and easy!
They were a free pattern from
The pattern was easy to follow and I think they look soo cute!

I finished reading:
I loved each story.
They were all beautifully written
and just warmed your heart.
I would of loved some of them to go
on longer as I just wanted to know what their future held.
They were easy to read and long enough
to keep you interested.
If you want a nice easy heartwarming read I would highly recommend
this book.
I give it 4 out of 5

I also finished listening to:
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
I loved listening to these books.
The reader was fantastic, his accents
made me laugh at times. Being English
myself and knowing the accents
of London etc he didn't get them quite right.
All in all a fantastic book to listen to and I highly recommend the reader.
I can't wait to choose my next free audio book to listen to.
I think I'll chose one out of Books Should be Free's top 100
audio books.

Some more exciting news.
has ever so kindly awarded me:

I've also got to answer 5 questions:
1.  Cookies or cake? I think I'd say cake - battenburg is my favorite
2.  Vanilla or chocolate? Ice Cream would have to be vanilla
3. What is your favourite sweet treat? Apple crumble with ice cream
4. When do you crave sweet things the most? That would be all t he time ;-)
5. If you had a sweet nickname, what would it be? Dime bar - there is more to me than just what is on the outside.

Now for my bakers dozen of lovely blogs I'd like to pass this on to.

Now it's your turn
It doesn't have to be crocheting
anything you've made is more than welcome!
Please try and visit at least 2 other sites
to see what other people have been making.
Can you also put the pin and link to http://crochetaddictuk.blogspot.com
so that we can get more people joining in.
Thanks!

What you doing Wednesday Week 2

Good Morning everyone.
I hope your week so far has been a good one.
It's Wednesday so it's time for you
to show off what you are doing.

Button

I can't believe the weather here!
Last week everyone was walking around in shorts.
Today we have sleet, snow and hail.
There are gail force winds and the temp is 3 degrees!

Little Red is off school for his easter break at the moment.
He is at the moment dancing round the living room
to Chipwreaked.

I have managed to get a kidney infection.
I'm drinking lots and if that
doesn't work back to the doctors tomorrow.

I have one make I am in the middle of that
I can't show you as it's a surprise for someone.
I don't know whether or not it will get finished
as the directions in the pattern
are really confusing!

I do have one WIP to show you:

Yes I've been making more of my african flower blanket.
Hopefully I'll have them attached for next Wednesday and the blanket will
be looking a bit bigger.

I can't wait to show me my next felted animal.
I'm not sure whether I'm going to show it tomorrow or Friday.

I think today is going to be a longgggg day.
Little Red is upset that I can't transform
one of this transformers.

I've been very lucky this week, Melissa from
has awarded me the Liebster Blog award.
She is just too kind!

Now I have to tell you 5 facts about myself and award 5 people.

  1. My favorite animal has to be dog, especially the cavalier king charles.
  2. I only moved out of my mum and dads home when I was 29 years old.
  3. I met my husband when I was 17 through my boyfriend at the time.  Over the years we went out a couple of times and it took till I was 29 for us to realise we were meant to be together.
  4. I'm not a touchy feely person but spend as much time as possible snugglying with Little Red.  I know I won't always get them so I am making the most of them whilst I can.
  5. I didn't pass my driving test till I was 25. I lived in the middle of no where with hardly any buses so for a lot of years I relied on my dad to drive me about.
Now to the people I want to award:

I am currently reading:
Mortal Obligation by Nichole Chase
I am really enjoying it so far but I'll tell you more about the story once I've finished it.

Now I hope you will go and see some of the other projects people have on the go
and I hope you'll link anything you are making:

Happy Monday

Good Morning everyone
Hope you are having a good day!

I dosed up on pain meds yesterday evening so managed
to get some sleep and feel better for it.

I am so excited about the house and what I have planned :-)
Hubby was questioning who was going to do all the work
Him of course :-)

Our new bed is coming on Wednesday so I am really excited.
About 5 years ago we spent a fortune and bought
one of the really expensive matresses that
molds to you.  It had springs under the foam as well
so it was meant to be the best of the best.
As you can guess from what I am saying it wasn't.
The foam decided it didn't like moulding to us
it decided it was better at the side of the bed.

As I am having a few issues with balance and judging where things are
we decided to get a whole new bed.
The one we have at the moment is low and has a wooden surround.
My legs are full of bruises from walking into it.
We are getting a divan and this time we have made sure we got a guarantee.

On Saturday I picked up a wonderful package:

it was my winning from:

I think I am going to make a tote bag as my first sewing project - wish me luck!

I had some other fantastic news of some other things I managed to win:
Supplied by: Mountain States Rosen

I won this beautiful bracelet and cards from

A Naked Binder
and the prize was provided by: http://www.nakedbinder.com/index.cfm
