I've Made Friday Week 39

Christmas is fast approaching!
I hope your all ready!
Mine has been a little delayed
due to my illness but I'm trying to get all my
presents finished.

I did get some things made.
Little Red has 2 teachers and 1 teaching assistant.
I made them all a little something for christmas.

A Mug Cosy

The free patterns are linked above.
I'll hopefully have the mug cosy typed up
as a free pattern in Jan.
I just used the apple from the bookmark as decoration.

I also made some Turkey mittens
for one of Little Red's friends.
I gave her the turkey hat and she really
wanted some matching mittens.
I started off using the free pattern:
but I ended up changing it slightly as I prefer making the cuff slightly different.

I made a giraffe
using the patterns I bought from:
The patterns are fantastic and easy to follow.
My favorite out of the ebook so far is the hippo:

Included in the ebook is:
Frappimals
-Mr and Mrs Mouseyccino
-Giraffeccino
-Frabeeccino
-Frapeleccino
-Frabbitccino
-Fraccoonccino
Daphnee The Dog
Seanna The Pig
Bird
Kassie The Tiger
Fluffy The Sheep
Kellie the Kangaroo
Calleigh the Cow
Pollie the Polar Bear
Giraffe and Baby
Lulubelle Hippo
Rocky Raccoon

At only $9.99 it's fantastic value.

Little Red wants a cuddly toy made for each of the dolls
for Christmas.
He is just too sweet.

I also made a thank you gift for one of the mums from school.
As I've been so ill and hubby had to go back to work
she has been taking Ryan to and from school.
I wanted to make something to say thankyou:

I used the free pattern:
I then just crocheted a piece to go around the bottom to keep it together if you want to.
I hope she likes it because she was
brilliant this week and really helped me out!

I've not quite finished the other things I'm making
so I'll hopefully have some more pictures of them next week.

Now it's your turn.
Show us what you've been making.
It doesn't have to crocheted.
Anything you have made is brilliant to see.

What You Doing Wednesday Week 34

Wow another week and nearly
half way through another month.

Christmas is coming fast and
I'm no where near ready.

My work in progress this week is:
Thumbnail
Setting up my You Tube channel

My first video is just a picture video
of my hat designs.
I hope to add more in the future but
I think it's a good place to start.

I've still got my:
Toffee\caramel\chochlate apple hat to finish
 My fox hat to finish
I don't know when I will manage to finish these.
It might be after Christmas now.

I've got a few ideas that I want to get finished first
so these 2 will just have to wait.

I also need to get making some of my Christmas presents.
Little Red has a group of friends that are 6 brothers & sisters.
A few of them have asked if I can make them things
so I am going to make them all something for christmas.
Fingers crossed I get them all finished.

I've got a lovely throat infection so I'm afraid there aren't
any other projects or books being read to let you know about.

I have however got a couple more pictures to show you from the wedding:
Yes You Guessed it, that is me.
with dad next to me and hubby behind him

My Gran, mum, dad & little red

 Hubby, gran, me & friend

Men smoking cigars, hubby is the 2nd from the left

Now it's your turn to share what you are doing.
It doesn't have to be crochet, anything you are making
is perfect.

What You Doing Wednesday Week 31

I hope you are all having a good week!

The weather is wintery at the moment.
I've been curling up in the living room
with a lovely log fire burning.
It does feel good to curl up and crochet.

Little Red is off school for his half term at the moment.
He went to Granny & Granddads on Monday
and came back yesterday.
Granny & Ganddad treated him to a new
Skylander Giant:

Whoever invented this game is very clever!
You can play the games with one character but you can't get
to most parts of the game without more.
The more characters you have the more likely you are
to complete more of the game.
Hubby loves this game and Little Red loves it as well.
Little Red now has 27 characters but has the
chart with all of them on up on the wall
so he knows which character he still needs to get.

The reason I haven't been posting about what I am reading
is I am reading a book ready for review.
The book hasn't been released yet.
On the day it's released I'll have my review for you.
It's very exciting for me :-)

Now I am being good this week.
I have finished the Evil Moon Face Hat
I have finished my brooch for the wedding.
But I am making a bag for the wedding:
A Thor Hat for Little Red:
My Toffee\Caramel Apple Hat

This week has been quite a big week for me.

I have started Collaborating with
Meldora's Creations

Now it's your turn to share what you are doing.
It doesn't have to be crochet, anything you are making
is perfect.

What You Doing Wednesday Week 29

I hope you are all having a good week!

I went for my yearly flu jab on Saturday.
Whilst I was there they decided that
I could have the pneumonia jab as well.
So I had the flu in my left arm and pneumonia in my right arm.
Be warned if you have either you can get muscle pain with them.
The pneumonia one is really really hurting!
The good thing is it's a one off for life!

I have made an investment this week.
I have bought 2 baby dolls to show off my hats.
I don't make enough hats for babies
and I would like to make some cocoons as well.
I did a lot of research and you can spend a fortune
on more life like ones but I don't have that much money.
So I managed to get 2 for less than the price
of the lowest priced reborns.

Girl asleep

Boy awake

I don't think there too bad.
The girl is 18" and has a cloth body real looking nails and skin.
The boy is 14" and is a "full" boy.
I haven't got the links for the ones I bought
as the boy one is now out of stock and the girl is one I bought off ebay.
If you are from the uk the girl one is from the shop: cottagesale
The boy was off Amazon and I have found
some similar ones:

As you can see they are a really good price and they
are anatomically correct.
As I haven't paid quite as much I won't be as
worried if Little Red decides to play with them.
I can't wait to make some outfits for them :-)
Little Red loves the boy with the eyes open.
It's just the right size for him.

This week I'm making:
A Nail
I'm designing this pattern for my fantastic pattern tester
Shannon.
She wanted a nail pattern for the Christmas tree.
It's for the following poem:

It's Christmas time at our house and we're putting up the tree.
I wish I could find some simple way to remember Christ's gift to me.
Some little sign or symbol to show friends stopping by,
The little babe was born one day but He really came to die.
Some symbol of His nail-pierced hands, the blood He shed for you and me.
What if I hung a simple nail on my shining Christmas tree?
A crimson bow tied round the nail as His blood flowed down so free,
To save each person from their sin and redeem us for eternity.
I know it was His love for us that held Him to the tree,
But when I see this simple nail I know He died for me.

I am hoping to give you all the pattern free
at the beginning of December.
so you can all have a nail on your tree.

A scarecrow hat.
I'm cheating a little as this ones already finished
but I wanted to give you a sneek peak.

This is going to hopefully be
an evil moon hat

This is hopefully going to be
a toffee\caramel\chocolate apple hat

This week I'm still reading:
Kindle:

Book:

You'll be glad to hear I should be finished with the book soon.
I am really enjoying the story.
It's a good mix between paranomal, reality and murder detective story!
It has so much in it for so many different readers.

Now it's your turn to share what you are doing.
It doesn't have to be crochet, anything you are making
is perfect.
