I've Made Friday Week 55

Good Morning Everyone.
I hope you are all having a good week
and are looking forward to the weekend.

We had some beautiful weather and it seemed
like spring had a arrived.
The weather tricked us :-(
It's now really windy and it's gone cold again.
Hopefully spring will return soon.

It was my mums 60th birthday last weekend.
She had a little buffet at her house
and her family came to celebrate.
My mum loves her cups of tea
so as part of her birthday presents I made her a tea cosy.
It only took me a couple of hours
but I think it turned out ok.

I finished my Gracie dress:
This is another fantastic pattern from Lisa's Heirloom Designs
This is her Gracie Dress Pattern
This is the finished dress in Lisa's shop:

I loved this pattern.  Lisa's patterns are so easy to follow
and I love the details she creates.
We are having a fantastic giveaway from her this Sunday
so please come and enter.

I'm still listening to:

What You Doing Wednesday Week 49

As you can see the buttons have a new look.
I'm not sure about Wednesdays.
I might change it again but I just want to get a feel for it.

I still here and still fighting on.
As soon as I have anymore news I'll let you know.

As well as messing about with my buttons
and resting lots!
I've got some things I'm making.

I think I've actually done something wrong with this pattern.
It isn't coming out as I thought it would
I may frog it and try again.
It's for a tea cosy for my brother & his wife.

This is the start of the beautiful cardigan from Lisa's Heirloom Designs.
I love Lisa's patterns and can't wait to see what it's like finished.
Elegant Carolyn Sweater Crochet Pattern Sizes Newborn, 0-3 and 3-6, 6-9 and 12 Months
This is Lisa's Elegant Carolyn Sweater

I'm still listening to Dracula
Audio:
Dracula by Bram Stoker

This is another free audio book from Books Should Be Free

 & Reading:

II'm really enjoying this book.
i'm hoping to be able to read more once I'm a bit better.
Concentrating on reading a book
takes a bit more than I've got at the moment.
The story is all about a 14yr old boy that has lost his parents
and has been adopted by a single man whose
wife died.
During a look around the house he finds some "Jewels"
and that's where the story really starts.

Now it's your turn to share what you are doing.
It doesn't have to be crochet, anything you are making
is perfect.

WIP Wednesday

Well I haven't got much to show you this week.  With it being so close to Christmas I've been trying to finish as many as possible and get them wrapped.

I do still have my elephant hat that isn't finished.  I'm going to try and get it made up before the year is finished.

I have posted pictures below of everything I've been making for Christmas.  My family don't read my blog so it's safe to post pictures :-)
I don't have a picture but I made Ryan's teacher and the lollipop lady a mug cosy and bought a mug for each of them to go on.  I do have a picture of the ones I made for the men in my family.  I made one for my dad, my husbands dad and my husbands step-dad.  I hope they like them.  I'm sure they won't, my husbands family don't seem to appreciate hand-made gifts the way mine does.

This is a fantastic pattern from:

I love this pattern, very easy to follow and perfect size!

My mums tea pot cosy:

Last but not least the scarfs that I have made for the women in the family.
One for Ryan's Auntie Sara, My husbands Mum and his dads partner.

For my first year of making presents I don't think I'm doing too bad.  We are hoping to start earlier next year and maybe make things for hampers from scratch as well.  I think it means so much more when you have taken the time and effort to make a gift.  We do have one gift to finish.  we bought one relative a big biscuit jar but before we wrap it we are going to make a load of cookies to fill the jar.

I hope your christmas gifts are coming along well.  If I don't get time to post before Christmas I hope you all have a good one.  Thank you to all the people who have left comments you have made me feel part of something that is wonderful.  At last I have found a place where it's ok to make things!

Don't forget to go over to Tami's to look at some more wonderful WIPs

Owl tea cosy

It isn't perfect and if I made another one I would alter it slightly but I hope my mum will like this one anyway.
