Not a FO Friday

All best laid plans :-)

Well I had my sons assembly this morning and then was I was going to come home and do some finishing off.
Instead I got to bring home a sick son.

Oh well, we've enjoyed being curled up on the couch watching t.v.
I think it will be a long night because he has a lot of pain
in his stomach.

I don't mind, it isn't good for my CFS but it's good for my heart.
As a mum I don't feel right if I don't look after him when he's ill.

I have got some beautiful things I've won.
I'm going to take some pictures this weekend (hopefully) to show you.

I did finish a book this week:

Cage of Bones by Tania Carver

I enjoyed the book but I found it difficult to get into at first.
I would say if you are going to read it then bear with it.
I sometimes felt that some of the characters weren't acting right for what they were going through
but as you got further into the book the characters got better as did the story.
Overall a good read.

As I haven't got anything finished this week I thought I'd show you one of the sets I've made:

I have made a matching set of
Hat, scarf (with mitten ends)
A bag
a bib
& a pantangle :-)
Why don't you go over and see some fantastic FO's
& I'm also joining in some blog hops

Sunday Thank You's!

My negative for today: Went out to watch my son sledging yesterday which was a fantastic positive
but then paying for it today!  asthma woke me up at 4am this morning & my nasal infection
is back again!
Positive:  Little Red (my son) loved the snow

He also made his first snow angel :-)

My other thing to be positive about is my wonderful
patterns testers
I would like to thank them all for their hard work.

Amie with the Panda Hat Pattern

Aprile for her Panda Hat

Amy for her Lion Hat

Karen for her Lion Hat

Sara for her cat bib

Lori for her cat bib

When I am feeling a bit better I will be updating the patterns.
I want to say a big thank you to them!
Keep checking as I'll be posting more patterns for testing in the future
(once I'm back to a more level playing field)

FO Friday

Good Morning everyone!
Hope you are having a good FO Friday!
I haven't done a negative & positive thought lately
Negative: Has to be my CFS
Positive: it's giving me time to come up with new ideas
I'm learning other crafts
I've had the time to enter loads of giveaways :-)

I haven't got many FO's today but I do have one;-)
I kept quiet about this one because I didn't know how it would turn out
I was finding it difficult to concentrate so there are a few mistakes but I
love them.

I got the pattern from:
I have to confess I did change the pattern slightly.
I only did 21 rows for the ribbing section
I then altered the top and bottom section to increase to the amount required
I also increased the shell to 5dc's
Apart from that I followed the pattern ;-)
I can't believe with all the changes I still managed to get them looking the same

I would recommend this pattern (even without the changes)
The pattern is easy to follow and the instructions are clear.

I hope you like my FO
Go on over and see what other people are making:

Don't forget

I'm currently having a sale at my shop.
15% discount on my buy now items (prices already reduced)
& a special price of £3 P&P for international buyers

What I've been making

I've been away to Skipsea for a weeks holiday. We had no internet access and no signal on my mobile.  We had a really nice relaxing holiday and had lots of fun as well.  The weather could have been better but what did we expect with a holiday in England.  Whilst I was away I had the time to make some more items.  I had an order for a dinosaur hat and scarf, cat bag & a horse hat.  All have been made and I've also made a set of Panda items.  All items for sale have been added to my website www.susand1408crochetaddict.co.uk I've posted the pictures below:
