I've Made Friday Week 52

Good Morning Everyone.
I hope you are all having a good week
and are looking forward to the weekend.

Little Red & hubby are off at the moment
but I'll tell you more about that when everything is back to normal.

I decided to make a couple of things
for Easter.

I made a little Easter Egg garland
using a free pattern from Lacy Crochet.
and joining them with a chain.

A little Lamb
Using the free spring squishies pattern
by Josephine Wu
This is a free download from Ravelry
and you get the patterns for a chick, duck, lamb & rabbit:
This was a fantastic and easy pattern to follow.
I think they are also just soooo cute!

I loved following this free pattern
from Lani Herschensohn

Each eggshell has a top and bottom and in each is a chick
I made quite a few in different colours

Then I made up a basket for them to fit in.

But if you've got the eggs and you've got the basket
you need a chicken to sit on them:
The chicken isn't as pretty as the pattern
that I followed but I just wanted a hollow
chicken that the egg could fit in.
This is the free cosy set:
I changed the legs and didn't make the egg cosy inside them
as I was making it for Little Red to Play with.

Wow isn't this sheep hat fantastic!
and it's a free pattern as well
I loved the way she uses a treble crochet with a sc to make the bobbly effect.
I loved making this hat!

I also made a broach for me.
I purchased this pattern
It's for a poppy hat but I have just made the poppy itself
Poppy Flower Girls Hat age 0-3 & 3-6 months 6 -12 1 -3 years crochet Pattern
I love the effect of the big poppy.
It makes a real statement.

Little Red asked if I could make him a scarf to match
his Turtle hat.
and you know I can't resist
making things for Little Red.

As you know I have been following the Online Tunisian Crochet Class
at Craftsy
This is the first washcloth I made

In the next part of the course you learn how to use 3 colours:
I haven't block it yet but I think you'll agree it's very effective.
I just couldn't believe how easy it was to work with 3 colours.
Infact it was easier using the 3 colours than using one.

I listened to:

A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett

This is a free audio book from Books Should Be Free
(you can listen online, download the audio or the book itself)

Wow I loved this book!
The author also wrote The Secret Garden.
The book is based around a young girl called Sara.
At 7 years old she is brought to London from India by her father.
She is brought to Miss Minchin’s London school
where she has her own bedroom and sitting room
and has a blessed life due to her fathers riches.
Her father was devoted to her and has left her there
reluctantly as he knows she needs schooling.
During her time in school she is a perfect pupil.
Then her father dies penniless. Things take a drastic turn
and Miss Minchin keeps her as a slave and works her to the bone.
For the rest of the story you'll have to read the book ;-)
Sara it such a beautiful child in looks and in her heart.
It's a very touching innocent story that is written beautifully!
I would give this book 5 out of 5

Now it's your turn
It doesn't have to be crocheting
anything you've made is more than welcome!
Please try and visit at least 2 other sites
to see what other people have been making.
Can you also put the pin and link to this page
so that we can get more people joining in.
Thanks!

I've made Friday Week 4

Wow I can't believe we are upto week 4 already!
Thank you all for sharing this journey.

I don't have any crocheted items to show you this week
as they are all presents and I can't show you them till they have been given.
You'll just have to wait and see ;-)

Little Red was up at 5am this morning!
Doesn't he realise there should only be one 5 in a day and it isn't in the morning.
The worst thing is he is all cheerful and happy and bouncy!

I had a bit of a downer on Wednesday!
I got attacked on facebook.
I had posted a link to the Pattern Post on Tuesday
to a group to see if anyone wanted to know about it.
I got verbal abuse off someone.
I left the group after leaving a short message to say why I was leaving.
I thought that would be an end to it but no they then posted on my wall with more abuse.
I replied and yet again thought that was the end of it.
Another message was then posted attacking some of the guest bloggers.
That was enough! I wasn't taking anymore chances.
I emailed the person directly warning them to stop and then blocked them from contacting me.
I am hoping this is the end to the situation but it does leave a question.

Is it ok to post a link to your blog on a facebook group?
This is my reasoning behind why I do:
I only usually post links to guest bloggers or free patterns i.e. Tues post
I have been added to nearly 100 groups so can't interact with them all.
I only have so much energy so the blog comes 1st & this way I can interact with more people.
I do have my own group where I allow everyone to post anything as long as it's to do with crochet:

What do you think?

Also how much do you think is a fair price to pay for a crochet pattern?

Now I may not have any crochet to finish but I do have the Easter Decorations that Little Red Made:

We haven't decorated them all as we wanted to do different types of decoration on different days.
Little Red painted them all himself.
I know they won't look as good as they could but I love having things that
he made all by himself.
If you want to see how we made them:

Also go and take a look because I've been featured:

I have finished one book this week but you'll have to wait till
Monday as I've used it for my "Review Monday".
I am still reading Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead.
If you like a Vampire book I would highly recommend this series.
I'll tell you more once I have finished it.

Now go and take a look at what some things other people have been making
& Link up what you have been making
Don't forget to spread the word and put the button on your post:

What You Doing Wednesday Week 3

Well half way through the week already!
I hope you week is going well.
Well it's that time of the week for us to show you
what we have been up to.

Button

Today I have to say a big huge Thank you
to the best friend you could possibly have!
Melissa from Lazy Daisy

She was the kindest person ever
and sent me some wonderful birthday gifts!

As you can see from the picture she sent me
some of her latest designs!
The flower can be a hair clip, necklace, broach, bracelet (anything you want it to be).
she also sent me matching pens and post it notes.
The gecko pattern I won
& the most amazing hook!
I just can't wait to start using it!
Her son even sent my son a present as well!

I'd show you another picture of the car but Little Red ran off and has been playing with it ever since!

We have had some fun over the last couple of days making some salt dough Easter Decorations.
Here is the first part of the make:

1 cup of salt
2 cups of plain flour
1 cup of water
Mix, roll & cut
Put in an oven on a low heat and leave for a couple of hours
till they are dry all the way through.

He even did the washing!
Come back and find out what they look like once Little Red has decorated them.

Right time to show you what I'm making this week.
As you know I've been doing a bit more on my African Flower Blanket:

As you can see it's getting a lot bigger and you can't see all of it on the page.

I am also in the middle of another pattern but
this is all I am going to show you:

I am currently reading:

I love a good Vampire Story & I really like the way this story is going!

So what have you been making this week?
Link up to what you are making
check out what other people are making as well!
